Bynoe offers pristine creeks for chasing barramundi, salmon and mud crabs, with plenty of queenfish around the foreshores. Its deep channel out to sea is studded with ledges that hold all the usual reef fish, along with goldies and jewfish. The Crab Claw Jetty Artificial Reef and Simms Reef are great places to try for big jewfish. If it’s windy, Bynoe Harbour offers plenty of sheltered spots to ensure a great day out.

Located on the southern boundary of Finniss River Station and just short drive from the Lodge, the Finniss River offers the best of both worlds. Saltwater estuary fishing yields varieties such as barramundi, threadfin salmon and jewfish, whilst the intertidal zone upstream is home to freshwater species including saratoga, tarpon and of course more barramundi.
The Finniss River is home to a diversity of aquatic wildlife from Dolphins, Stingrays and Sharks to basking Crocodiles and Sea Eagles it sets the perfect platform for an experience on the water.
The Saltwater Finniss River is easily accessed from the Dundee Beach boat ramp, taking roughly 35 minutes transit along the coastline to reach the mouth of the Finniss River.
